Highland Homes Meridiana Frame Walk (Client Build) — What Buyers Should See Before Drywall
Highland Homes Meridiana Frame Walk: What to Look for Before Drywall
If you’re thinking about buying a new construction home in Meridiana, one of the biggest mistakes buyers make is starting at the model homes.
Model homes show you finishes.
They don’t show you how the home is actually built.
In this video, I’m walking one of my client’s Highland Homes right before drywall — the stage where you can truly evaluate the structure, layout, and overall build quality before everything gets covered up.
Why the Frame Stage Matters
Before insulation and drywall go in, you can see everything:
- Framing and structure
- Electrical layout
- Plumbing runs
- HVAC routing
This is the stage where issues can be identified early — and where differences between builders start to become clear.
Once drywall goes up, all of this is hidden.
That’s why I recommend buyers see homes at this stage before making a final decision.

Highland Homes in Meridiana (Client Build Insight)
This particular home is being built by Highland Homes in Meridiana.
At this stage, we’re not looking at finishes or design selections.
We’re focused on:
- How the home is framed
- How clean and organized the install work is
- How systems are routed throughout the house
This is part of how I help my clients make confident decisions — not just based on what looks good, but on how the home is actually put together.
Why You Shouldn’t Start at Model Homes
Most buyers visit model homes first.
That’s backwards.
Model homes are designed to sell you on:
- finishes
- layout
- upgrades
But they don’t show:
- what’s behind the walls
- how consistent the builder is
- how the home is actually constructed
If you want to compare builders the right way, start with homes under construction — then go look at model homes after.
